For teams where every onboarding runs differently

New colleague on day one.
Productive by end of week.

Onboarding is your company's first impression. If it takes 14 days for a new person to get access and know who to ask, something is broken. In Speybl you give onboarding a fixed routine that runs the same way every time.

How it works

Onboarding nobody forgets

For each role (developer, sales, marketing, HR…), you build an onboarding template with a task list and assigned owners. Deadlines are relative to the start date (day −5, day 0, day +1, day +7). Different task types: contract signing, hardware handoff, system registration, intro 1:1.

  • checkSet up once, used every time
  • checkConsistent quality across the team and over time
  • checkTemplates for onboarding, offboarding, and reboarding

You create the onboarding for a specific new hire from the template, and the tasks are split up by role. IT gets a notification: "Prepare hardware for Jan by day 5." HR gets: "Sign contract with Jan on day 0." The manager gets: "Intro 1:1 with Jan on day +1." Everyone knows what to do and when.

  • checkHR doesn't send manual messages
  • checkIT doesn't have to guess who's starting when
  • checkNotifications via email or Slack

Before the start date, you send the new hire a unique link. They fill in personal data (address, bank account, emergency contact) — without needing a Speybl login. The data goes directly into their profile.

  • checkFirst day starts without manual data entry
  • checkSaves 30–60 minutes of admin per employee
  • checkNo login required for the new hire

What a bad start costs

A weak start costs more than it looks

even two weeks
average time for a new hire to become
fully productive without structured onboarding
25%
of new hires leave within the first six months
when onboarding does not work
multiples of salary
is the cost to replace an employee
who leaves because of a bad start

A bad start follows a new hire for months, and the company pays for it. In Speybl, onboarding has a fixed routine from day one.

How it goes

Common questions

What companies ask about onboarding

No — that would be its own kind of chaos. We recommend separate templates per role: a developer has different tasks than someone in sales. Speybl supports any number of templates. Most companies start with 2–3 main roles and add more over time.
You can edit one employee's onboarding without touching the template — add or remove tasks, change owners, or shift deadlines.
Two ways. (1) IT receives notifications directly in Speybl and checks tasks off there. (2) Notifications go into their ticketing system (Jira, Freshdesk, custom CRM) via email or API.
Yes. Offboarding uses the same infrastructure (checklists, tasks, owners) — just with type OFFBOARDING. Typical tasks: IT revokes access, HR documents the exit, manager does a final 1:1. Configure templates the same way you would for onboarding.
Yes. Reboarding is a third checklist type. Usually shorter, but important — the employee is coming back after a long absence and needs an update. You have the template; tasks launch on the return date.
